After all the planning and preparation that we did over the past 5 months the day finally arrived for our summer adventures to start. We left home and started making our way towards Colorado. The first part of the drive was nothing new to us as we have driven it many times on other road trips we took with the family. The drive on the I-70 is still new and the views are different around every corner.
We broke the drive up into two days. The second day was when we started the pretty part of the drive. It was so hard to keep my eye on the road as all the sights were so pretty. The mountains, snow, river and all the different shades of green on the trees. We went through the Johnson Tunnel. This was our first big road trip with the new rig and it went off without a hitch.
After two long days we made it to our spot that we are going to enjoy for a few weeks. We got the RV spot all set up in this wonderful RV park not far from everything we want to enjoy. We have tree coverage, nice big puffy clouds, green grass and much cooler weather then home. Can’t wait to get out and explore the area.
